Privacy Policy
Vitfin is a personal finance app operated by SEM Consultores S.A.S. (“Vitfin”, “we”). This Policy explains what information we process, why we use it, whom it may be shared with and what controls users have.
1. Information we process
- Account and contact data: email address, user identifiers and information needed for authentication, account recovery and service communications.
- Financial information entered by the user: income, expenses, transactions, debts, installments, rates, goals, assets, net worth and any other information the user chooses to record.
- Optional files: photos of receipts, invoices or payment records and audio recordings when the user uses Vitfin AI multimedia features.
- Technical and usage data: basic information needed for security, operation and product analytics. Vitfin analytics events are limited to interaction metadata, such as language, action, status, source or feature surface, and are not designed to send financial amounts or transaction text to the analytics tool.
- Subscription data: plan status, validity and references needed to enable Pro features. Payment information is processed by the relevant payment provider; Vitfin does not store full card numbers.
2. How we use information
- Create and protect the user’s account.
- Record and display the financial information provided by the user.
- Calculate cash flow, indicators, net worth, goals, debt burden and financial plans.
- Generate reports and allow downloads or email delivery when requested by the user.
- Process photos, receipts or audio used in Vitfin AI, with the user’s prior confirmation.
- Manage Free, Trial, Pro or courtesy plans and confirm payments or validity periods.
- Prevent abuse, investigate errors, maintain security and improve the product experience.
3. Providers and data processors
Vitfin uses technology providers to operate the service. These may include:
- Supabase: authentication, database, server functions and storage.
- PostHog: usage analytics limited to product events configured by Vitfin.
- Mercado Pago: payment or subscription processing when the user purchases Vitfin Pro.
- Transactional email providers: authentication, recovery, support and delivery of reports requested by the user.
- Multimedia or AI processing services: only when the user enables features that require text, image or audio analysis. Vitfin requests confirmation before modifying financial data.
These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services and in accordance with their own security and privacy obligations.
4. Device permissions
The app may request access to the camera and microphone for optional receipt and voice capture features. Users can deny or revoke these permissions in device settings. Basic Vitfin features can be used without granting both permissions.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain data while the account is active or for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and maintain security. Users may request correction, updating or deletion of their data and, where applicable, closure of their account.
6. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including authentication, access controls and encrypted communications. No system is completely infallible, so we maintain ongoing review and improvement processes.
7. Data subject rights
Under Colombian personal data protection rules, including Law 1581 of 2012 and its implementing regulations, data subjects may access, update and correct their data and, where applicable, request deletion or revoke authorization for processing.

8. Minors
Vitfin is not directed at children. If we learn that a minor’s personal data has been provided without the legally required authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
9. International transfers
Some technology providers may process information on infrastructure outside Colombia. When this happens, we use recognized providers and apply the contractual and security safeguards available for the service.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to Vitfin, our providers or legal requirements. The current version will always be published at this address.
